GRAD classes in the spring term

GRAD 515 - Creating Happiness: Personal and Professional Applications of Well-Being for Graduate Students, Ecampus, 1-credit
This course provides support for graduate students across OSU academic disciplines who teach site-based, hybrid, and online courses. The course focuses on evidence-based practices with an emphasis on practical strategies, problem solving, and the specific and timely instructional needs of those enrolled.

GRAD 516 - Graduate Teaching Seminar, Ecampus, 1-credit
This course provides support for graduate students across OSU academic disciplines who teach site-based, hybrid, and online courses. The course focuses on evidence-based practices with an emphasis on practical strategies, problem solving, and the specific and timely instructional needs of those enrolled.

GRAD 520 - Responsible Conduct of Research, Ecampus & Corvallis, 2-credits
This course covers topics related to the responsible conduct of research including ethical decision making, working with human subjects, animal welfare, data acquisition and ownership, authorship, peer review, conflicts of interest, and general research misconduct issues.

GRAD 561 - Course Design and Methods, Ecampus, 3-credits
This course explores research and research-based practices related to teaching and learning in higher education contexts with an emphasis on course design, facilitation, and assessment.

Dialogue Facilitation Lab

The Dialogue Facilitation Lab is a professional learning experience for faculty, staff, and graduate employees looking to grow as a dialogue facilitator and integrate dialogue practices in their professional responsibilities related to teaching, research, leadership, or service. The summer 2024 cohort will explore free expression in higher education.

Graduate Engineering Research Showcase

The showcase will feature live research micro-presentations from 11 graduate students on a variety of engineering topics. Refreshments available.

Oregon State Engineers are creating a better future here and now, through vital research that tackles some of humanity's greatest challenges. The Graduate Engineering Research Showcase offers an exciting glimpse of that future, presented by some of the brilliant, creative minds who are helping to make it happen. Student presenters receive expert coaching in communicating complex, technical ideas to a general audience through accessible language, live demonstrations, and visual aids.

Spring Career Fair

Research Data Management Workshop

Do you create or use data in your research? Looking for tips and tools to better help you manage and share your data? The OSU Library offers Introduction to Research Data Management, an asynchronous online workshop for OSU community members from April 15 to 18, 2024.

Office of Science Graduate Student Research Awards

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Science is pleased to announce that the Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program is now accepting applications for the 2024 solicitation 1 cycle. SCGSR is open to U.S. Ph.D. students in qualified graduate programs at accredited U.S. academic institutions, who are conducting their graduate thesis research in targeted areas relevant to DOE's Office of Science.

Library workshops for faculty and graduate students

OSU Libraries and Press offer a variety of workshops on topics relating to research, literature reviews, and data management. This winter term, they are offering workshops on:
