The Wood Innovation for Sustainability (WINS) degree is an integrated curriculum designed to provide advanced, professional training in five areas: Core knowledge in wood science; key innovation areas in the wood industry, which depending on the specific track will focus on mass timber industry or circular economy; engineering and business technical skills; Communication, management skills and abilities; and professional responsibility and ethics. In addition, each student will participate in an intensive internship experience(s) engaging students in real work situations involving technical problems, teamwork, communication skills, and decision-making.
The program caters to different backgrounds and it is designed to fit the needs of global working professionals. It provides an international perspective on the most pressing and contemporary topics in the field, with students collaborating with world-class faculty and industry leaders. Upon completion of this degree, graduates will be better placed for career advancement.
