Please note the following before submitting a change of term:
- The program you applied to must approve all term changes and deferrals. Please check with your program before requesting a change a term. The terms in which it is possible to begin studies vary by program. Find contact information on the individual program pages.
- Processing in the Office of Graduate Education can take up to two weeks; response times within the programs can vary.
- Due to the COVID-19 situation, if a graduate program allows a full year delay, we are temporarily allowing term change requests to extend into fall 2021 without requiring a new application and fee. Please check with your program before submitting the form.
There are two different ways to request a change of term. Please use only one of these methods. Using both methods will cause delays in processing.
- For changing within the same academic year (for example, fall to winter), please log into the admission application system and select "change term" from the dropdown menu next to the program name.
- For changing to a term outside of the current academic year (for example, fall to the next fall), please use this change of term form.
