    "Why are you doing your research? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" As graduate students and researchers, we all get asked these questions at some point, whether by a professor or a job recruiter. This Graduate Writing Center workshop will help you craft an answer to this question by connecting your professional identity and the core values driving your career together to form your own Professional Hero Story.   • Data Visualization for Presentations Panel Discussion

    Join the Graduate Writing Center for “Picture This: Data Visualizations for Presentations,” a hands-on workshop featured during Grad Appreciation Week. Participants will be introduced to one process for designing effective tables and figures, and incorporating them into clear, engaging slides from which you can develop a concise set of speaker’s notes. Real examples will be shown demonstrating how to transform complex data or abstract concepts into compelling images that strengthen your research narrative. Graduate students from all disciplines are welcome. Stream here
