You can obtain a list of GCRs through the GCR generator tool.
Instructions for using the GCR generator tool
The Graduate Council Representative (GCR) is a crucial member of your thesis committee, ensuring that all institutional policies, procedures, and standards are upheld. The GCR is a neutral member, not affiliated with your major or minor department, and is a full voting member of your committee.

- Generate the list by selecting the "Submit" button to generate a list of up to 10 potential GCRs. These are approved faculty members who have expressed an interest in your area(s) of study.
- You can save the results page as a PDF:
Go to the "Download PDF" option at the bottom of the page to download the list. You can download the list within 24 hours of its generation. After this period, you can generate a new list if needed.
You are allowed to generate only one GCR list per day. If you have requested a list within the past 24 hours, you must wait until it has been at least 24 hours since your last request.
When contacting the faculty members from the generated list, provide your name, degree, major, research, and the timeframe of scheduled events. If you are unable to secure a GCR from the list, you may generate a new list after 24 hours.
For Faculty Members: If you are a faculty member trying to demonstrate the form, please note that you will need to log in as an active student to access and use the form.
