Justin Nelson completed the Professional Science Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on climate change in the winter of 2022. After graduating from the University of Denver with an undergraduate degree in finance and working in the financial services industry, Justin decided to follow his interests and pursue a career related to climate and environmental sciences.
The PSM program was completed to further bolster Justin’s technical capabilities, allowing for a successful career at private consultancy, Environmental Resources Management (ERM). As a result of the internship requirement for the PSM program, Justin was able to join the SustainAbility Institute by ERM, the company’s primary platform for actionable insights on sustainability for business. Justin is now a Senior Research Associate and contributor to the SustainAbility Institute, and is listed as a primary author on numerous sustainability-related thought leadership pieces, such as The Changing Climate for Private Equity and 2022 Trends: Sustainability in Business.
When not engaged in his professional activities, Justin spends most of his time outdoors, providing him with inspiration and motivation to continue advocating for wide-scale environmental change towards a more sustainable global economy.
