Daniel Gonzalez is a Professional Science Master’s graduate in Environmental Sciences with a focus in Ecology. Prior to his time at Oregon State University (2024-2026) he completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oegon (2019-2023). During his time in higher education his academic interests have been in conservation and restoration. Through his coursework he built a foundation of knowledge in his area of interest and a combination of technical skills that prepared him for many different kinds of conservation and restoration work. For his internship, Daniel served as project biologist for a restoration project in Fontana, California, and was responsible for closing out final year of a five-year monitoring phase on that project. On this project he was tasked with many different kinds of work including biological field survey, data analysis, technical writing and more. Daniel currently works as an environmental consultant in Southern California and is planning to continue to work on conservation and restoration project. Outside of work Daniel enjoys, exercise, sports, and playing tabletop role playing games.
