Laura Gregory

Laura Gregory has held a lifelong passion for the environmental sciences. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Oregon in Environmental Science, and a Master of Science degree in Biology, where her research focused on how a changing environment may affect anaerobic carbon cycling in a Minnesota peat bog. At Oregon State University, Laura completed a Professional Science Master’s degree with a focus on quantitative analysis, along with a graduate certificate in geographic information science (GIS). As part of this program, she completed an internship with the GIS certificate program at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. During her internship, Laura contributed to curriculum development by creating new lab modules focused on analyzing environmental change in the Mount Hood area using remotely-sensed imagery. Her work helped expand the program’s applied learning opportunities, helping to equip students with practical skills in environmental GIS analysis.
