Tuition support requests for 2026-2027 open Monday, November 10, 2025; deadline Monday, February 16, 2026
This program provides graduate tuition scholarships to graduate fellows whose stipends are paid by an eligible unit via approved OSU Foundation funds dedicated to graduate fellowships and which provide a stipend value equivalent to that provided by at least a .49 FTE graduate appointment as specified by the minimum recommended stipend guidelines established by the Office of Graduate Education. The minimum recommended stipend for 2026-2027 is $7197/term.
The intent of this program is to maximize the value of institutional graduate fellowships by providing accompanying tuition scholarships.
Criteria
To be eligible for tuition scholarship support, a student must qualify for appointment as a Graduate Fellow at OSU. See Graduate Fellow eligibility requirements.
Procedures
Requests may be submitted by the nominee's graduate program director, unit chair/head, degree program coordinator, student's advisor, or principal investigator of the fellowship award. Students may not directly request support. To request support for the 2026-2027 academic year, please complete the Tuition Support Request survey for each anticipated student on fellowship.

Award Level
Tuition support scholarships will be applied toward tuition of up to 12 credits each academic term, with no provision for coverage of summer tuition or any mandatory fees. Tuition scholarships may be awarded on a full-year or per-term basis, depending on the duration and distribution of the fellowship stipend.
Award Distribution
Tuition scholarships will be posted directly to the fellow's student account at the beginning of each academic term during the award period, pending the fellow's eligibility and required enrollment for the term.
Deadline
The early-notification deadline for nomination is Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:59pm with qualification decisions provided no later than Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The standard deadline for nomination is Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:59pm. Qualification decisions will be provided no later than Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
