Tuition support requests for 2025-2026 closed February 17, 2025
This program provides the Office of Graduate Education Dean the authority to award graduate tuition scholarships to eligible students who do not fall into the categories provided by items in the Graduate Tuition Waiver Policy if doing so meets other institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success.
The intent is to provide the Graduate Dean flexibility in responding to institutional needs for graduate student funding support.
Please Note: Due to increased funding needs to support qualifying fellowships, the Office of Graduate Education anticipates having very limited funding available during 2025-2026 to support Targeted requests.
Criteria
Student must be a degree-seeking graduate student in good academic standing and must not have an anticipated Graduate Assistantship appointment for 2025-2026. Other criteria will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Procedures
Requests may be submitted by the nominee's graduate program director, unit chair/head, degree program coordinator, student's advisor, or principal investigator of the fellowship award. Students may not directly request support. To request support for the 2025-2026 academic year, please complete the Tuition Support Request survey for each anticipated student. The survey will prompt you to demonstrate how the award would advance institutional interests in diversity, enrollment goals, faculty productivity, student retention, or student success. Please email questions to [email protected]. The Office of Graduate Education will contact you regarding eligibility for the tuition support request.
